To celebrate their years-long partnership, Castle Rock and Nottingham Shakespeare Company are thrilled to announce the launch of their new pint – Nottingham ShakesBeer. “We’re aiming for something with a powerful hop hit, and a long afterglow – just like one of our shows!” says Artistic Director, Michelle-Louise Wright.
The new beer’s brew day was held at Castle Rock Brewery on Wednesday 17th July, followed by the pint’s official launch on Wednesday 7th August (venue TBC), coinciding with Henry V’s opening night performance at Nottingham’s Roundhouse. The cast of NSC’s upcoming touring production of Henry V promise to be in attendance on brew day, giving the public and press a glimpse of what’s in store for the company’s summer run.
At the Branch Meeting on the 29th of August at The Vat & Fiddle, Members were treated to both an excellent presentation by Michelle-Louise Wright from the Nottingham Shakespeare Company and the fine ShakesBeer that they brewed was available on the bar!
